The Artist
Despite an intensive academic background with two Master's degrees and extensive professional experience in the Built Environment — spanning both academia and provincial government — Nombuso Qwabe discovered an unexpected passion and purpose in makeup artistry. This led to the creation of IAMNOMBUSO Makeup Artistry in 2023.
Nombuso is among South Africa's most sought-after makeup artists, renowned for her signature flawless aesthetic. She has elevated the industry with her keen eye for detail and a unique creative palette, serving beauty enthusiasts, aspiring makeup artists, young professionals, and modern African women who value premium yet accessible beauty solutions.
Her portfolio spans digital, print, and social media campaigns, as well as TV and film production, with prominent brands including NARS, Fenty Beauty, Vaseline, Foschini, NYX, MultiChoice, Showmax, GQ South Africa, Mr Price, and Netflix. She has worked with leading names such as Uncle Waffles, DJ Zinhle, Kamo Mphela, Nomzamo Mbatha, DBN Gogo, and Linda Mtoba.
She has also established IAMNOMBUSO as a leader in both artistry and education through The Ultimate Makeup Masterclass, hosting masterclasses across the country.

All bookings are final. We do not offer cancellations, refunds, or reschedules under any circumstances.
Arriving more than 20 minutes late will incur a R250 fee. We respect everyone's time and schedule.
Every session runs for one hour. Sessions from 8 AM to 4 PM are at the standard rate. Early sessions carry a surcharge (5 AM +R750, 6 AM +R500, 7 AM +R250) and sessions from 5 PM are +R500.
We accept card and Apple Pay only. No EFT payments are accepted — no exceptions.
Please arrive with your inspiration images ready. We want to create exactly the look you envision.
Our studio is in Durban North. Gate access details are sent via WhatsApp the day before.
